Sunflower Seed Oil

Sunflower Seed Oil (200ml)

“This oil was the second oil I pressed. When I first used this oil, it brought relief to my aching joints, as well as my left foot, which has been operated on 4 times since 1989 due to a very bad accident. The vitamin E in the oil helped lubricate my joints, with the cartilage having been warn away over years of hard training as a gymnast.

After years of being able to cook and experiment with my Andreas Sunflower Seed Oil, it has become one of my favorite cooking oils. I use it almost every time I cook, as it does not produce a burnt taste when searing meat or sautéing vegetables. I use it in salad dressing, for sautéing vegetables for chow mein, mixed into my German potato salad, drizzled over my famous red cabbage, and much more. It is a fantastic all-around cooking oil since it has a light, clean taste, and adds nutritional value and health benefits to every dish I prepare.”

Description

Sunflower seeds and sunflower seed oil have been used for culinary and medicinal purposes by many cultures throughout history. Sunflower seeds are an abundant source of nutrients, such as protein, fiber, magnesium, phosphorus, copper, selenium, and iron. They also provide an array of vitamins, including vitamins B1, B2, B6, D, E, and K. They are also packed with antioxidants and essential fatty acids, necessary for healthy function of all body systems.

Unlike most other cooking oils, sunflower seed oil is made up of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, and is low in saturated fats. Consuming sunflower oil on a regular basis has been shown to help lower cholesterol levels. Research studies show that sunflower seeds provide vital nutrients that can significantly lower the risk of cardiovascular ailments, including heart attack and stroke. The high amount of selenium found in the seeds also provides anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergenic properties.

Sunflower seed oil can also be used topically. One of its main benefits as a skin care solution is its ability to help the skin retain moisture. Sunflower seed oil’s rich vitamin E content makes this oil a great natural acne treatment, leaving skin soothed and protected from irritation. This oil is also excellent for use as a massage oil.

Due to the process I use to press my Andreas Sunflower Seed Oil, the nutrient-rich fibers naturally remain in the oil, enhancing the flavor and aiding in the delivery of the full benefits of the seeds.
